We trust that the way of Jesus is the best way to live. We believe that following Jesus will lead us to be Good News to ALL people, no matter their beliefs or unbeliefs.
About Us
As a church community, we are formed by the life and teachings of Jesus.
Our Beliefs
To be honest, beliefs communicated solely by words can fill up a lot of paper or use a lot of pixels. Yes, beliefs matter. And words matter. However, when engaged in conversations involving religion and beliefs, remember that not everyone agrees on everything. We begin by trusting in a God who allows for a big, wide, and grace-filled conversation. When it comes to teaching, or sermons, we begin with the Bible. Yes, it is old. In fact, it’s very old. We believe eternal truths are baked into the stories, poetry, history, and overarching narrative. Simply put, we believe the Bible is divinely inspired. We believe the Divine exists in three persons, traditionally known as the Trinity: God the Creator, the divine Word incarnate in the first century person of Jesus, and the eternal Spirit. The Bible proclaims that God, through Jesus, defeated all sin and death by absorbing them when he was crucified on a wooden execution stake known as a cross. Through Jesus’ resurrection, God has begun the renewal, restoration, and reconciliation of all things, and everyone everywhere is invited to follow Jesus into this New Creation. That is the message the church is to proclaim and participate in. And just like that, we have used many words that can sound quite churchy and abstract.
So… the best way to learn what we believe is to spend time with us and experience how we live as a community. And that is what we hope you will choose to do.
Our Values
Belonging
We have found that belonging often leads to believing. That when you belong you can wrestle in community with what you believe, and together we can work to become more like Jesus.
Becoming Like Jesus
In a society that often defines beliefs by simple labels, we choose to follow the teaching and life of Jesus in how we live. So our witness is embodied in our way of life, then affirmed by what we say. And all of that is best done in community.
Being Good News
Our belonging and becoming leads us to being Good News in the communities in which we live, work and play.
